DESCRIPTION:AGBL Levant team was proud to host 10x Genomics and to organize a series of seminars. This four-day roadshow took place from the 21st to the 24th of May 2019 and was held at top Universities in Lebanon. \nThe first 10x Genomics seminar was held at the American University of Beirut (AUB)\, one of the first and highest ranked Universities in Lebanon. Chiara Reggio\, 10x Genomics EMEA Channel Account Manager\, gave a presentation about all the 10x Genomics applications to a group of scientists amongst which several are currently performing Next-Generation Sequencing. The seminar was also attended by members of the AUB medical center\, and students from different faculties and laboratories. Attendees were engaged in exciting scientific discussions and were impressed with the massive information that 10x Genomics can provide. \n

DESCRIPTION:The AGBL Sub Sahara team was proud to host the 10x Genomics team in Cape Town\, South Africa. In collaboration with a South African initiative called Diplomics; and the Centre for Proteomic and Genomic Research (CPGR)\, we hosted a four-day 10x Genomics workshop from 11th – 14th March 2019. The aim of the workshop was to enable our customers to get hands on training on the 10x Chromium System; familiarize themselves with what the protocols entail; generate their own data; engage with the 10x-perts and network with their peers. \nThe first day of the workshop started of with an introduction and hands-on training in the lab on the Single Cell Gene expression workflow conducted by Lia Burkhardt (PhD)\, 10x Genomics Field Applications Scientist (FAS). Laurie Scott\, FAS manager (EMEA region)\, conducted the training for the Exome workflow during the second and third day of the workshop. \n
